![]() ![]() I have been trying to uninstall adobe creative cloud from an iMac and everytime I try it says "Couldn 't uninstall Creative Cloud for desktop. Why only Adobe has this issue is totally confusing.I looked through everything I could find this is driving me insane because nothing I have read has helped me so far. The Netgear AT&T 5G modem/router is running the latest firmware. What is blocking downloading Adobe updates via a web browser? It didn't show the "Couldn’t load updates" error and it tried to download the Photoshop update but immediately failed. Try again later or open the desktop app and go to Updates there." I then logged into my Adobe account using Firefox. A web page immediately appeared for each app that said "Couldn’t load updates Updates aren’t loading on the web right now. I clicked on "Update available" for Photoshop and then later Lightroom Classic. The web page showed there are updates to Photoshop and Lightroom Classic. I just logged into my Adobe account via Safari. Zoom video sessions or other livestreams work fine. Downloading macOS updates (Gigabytes) or other large files are fine. ![]() Why is the AT&T 5G connection to the Adobe Creative Cloud software download server(s) so extremely slow and unreliable when connections to software download servers of other companies are very fast and reliable?Īny thoughts on what could be wrong and how I can get the Desktop app to work reliably to download updates?Įthernet or Wi-Fi have the same issue with Adobe servers. No anti-virus software or proxy app is blocking network connections. The Charles app helped then, but has not helped this time. This past spring, Adobe Engineering had me install the "Charles" proxy app to download an update to the CC Desktop app, which was always failing to update. WHAT A MESS!!! Due to these Adobe issues, I have not yet tried to update Lightroom Classic to v13.0.1 (v12.5 is working fine). Tried to update Camera Raw to v16.0 it also failed at 1% with the lie about the computer being offline. I then tried to update to Photoshop 2024 to v25.1 it failed at 1% saying the computer was offline (which is bogus). CC Desktop app opened and I was logged into my existing Adobe account. ![]() I then ran the full CC Desktop app installer. I finally killed the Creative Cloud Installer using Activity Monitor. Not very user friendly, but I guess Adobe never expects anything they develop to fail. It is interesting to note that the "repair" option has no cancel button to manually abort a stalled download stuck at 89% for several minutes. ![]() It then took many minutes downloading "Creative Cloud desktop", finally stalling at 89%. The CC Desktop app was removed by the uninstaller. Launched the "Uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud" app and tried the "repair" option. This morning I downloaded a fresh copy of the full CC Desktop app installer (still v6.0.0.571), which downloaded in a few seconds. Turned Wi-Fi ON (Wi-Fi 6) and Ethernet OFF no change. Changed the 5G modem/router DNS to CloudFlare (1.1.1.1) (it had been the AT&T DNS). Tried to use an iPhone hot spot Internet connection. I have tried using my Admin account on the Mac same issue. I have even re-installed the CC Desktop App (6.0.0.571) using the full alternative installer ( ). I have power cycled the 5G modem/router and Mac Studio. The Desktop app keeps switching from connected to Internet to no connection to connected every couple of seconds. Since 28 September 2023, I have been trying to the download various Adobe apps updates using the Creative Cloud Desktop app on my Mac Studio (Mac Sonoma). I have posted versions of this problem report on the Adobe Community Forum, but no one there has been able to offer a working solution. ![]()
